new experiences

Here is a list of things we have seen/encountered that we thought y'all might enjoy.

*we thought we were in the same time zone as home-and we are, but they do not observe day light savings, so we were an hour early for our meeting this morning.
*we were introduced to our first guatemalan mall-radio shack, payless, and gap were the stores we recognized-all very expensive.
*Our first experience in the public transit system. we used a micro bus to go to their version of walmart, after stopping/asking about 5 busses, we finally found one that was going the right direction. We spent a little too much money at Pais, and had to take a micro bus back instead of a taxi. This is a problem because they are not as safe and they smash about 15 people into a bus designed to hold 9. We finally did get home with all of our purchases!
*Tonight in dominos(Tony still likes American Pizza alot) we were waiting for our order and a drunk/high/crippled man came wondering in and asking for pizza, two of the tables gave him a piece before the manager kicked him out. Also at dominos about every 10 minutes all the workers in the back started chanting and singing and clapping about something-they were happy and it was funny.
*The weather has been amazing the first two days here, cool till 11:00ish, then it get warm, but not too hot and then cools off nicely at night-good sleeping. It's just gorgeous.
