update

We have been enjoying the last couple weeks of Tony's summer. He starts back at Malone on August 1st. He really didn't have much of a break this year because he started working at the golf course as soon as he got back from Guatemala, but he is very ready to return to the RD position and set aside the golf course craziness.
I have been soaking up the last couple weeks of no class or work!! I finally feel like summer is here. We haven't really done anything too exciting, but it has been very relaxing and fun.
Tony and I did get away for a night to Amish country while the kids stayed with Scott and Christina. We stayed at a little cabin just outside of a tourists town in the heart of Amish country. We were only gone for 24 hours, but it was a nice little break.
Because almost everything is closed in Amish country on Sunday, we had to drive about 10 miles to get to Route 83 Restaurant. The menu looked pretty good and the place didn't look too bad so we gave it a try, turned out to a bad decision. The food was miserable and the old man conversation behind us was not exactly the side dish I had imagined for our romantic dinner. We got a good laugh out of the experience if nothing else.

Zoe was able to go to VBS at a church down the street this last week. She loved every minute of it and was exhausted every night when she got home. When I asked her what she learned, every night she told me that Jesus made the rainbow. I am sure they did not talk about this story everyday, but that is what she wanted to talk about.
Zoe has been obsessed with puzzles. Below is a picture of her doing a 48 piece puzzle, she can do it all by herself!
Tony was given a set of golf clubs just for Zoe from the pro at the course he works at. She thinks she is pretty big stuff even though they are still too big and heavy for her. Tony has big dreams of making her into quite the golfer.

She is getting better using her bike, but doesn't stand a chance going up an sort of incline.
Zoe also likes to play teacher, but I can't get the videos to upload here. The most important parts of learning according to teacher Zoe are snack time and craft time. The other day she told me Jesus loves me and that's why we had to color a Hello Kitty picture :/ Her Sunday School teacher told us that Zoe had a chance to teach the class last week and proceeded to tell the class, "If you have Jesus in your life, then you get candy." Not sure where that theology came from.

Zoe loves making her brother laugh.

Deacon has been sleeping really well and taking long naps. I think this is because when he is awake he is constantly crawling and pulling himself up on whatever he can.
Zoe's toys that have smaller pieces have all been moved to the top shelf because this little guy will find it in no time. I turned my back from the fridge the other day and he was in it in no time :/

Not sure how he got in there, but he thought it was pretty funny.

Deacon also loves stroller time, as long as we are moving at every moment. He always falls asleep on our morning walks, even if he has only been up for half an hour.

Next Monday we are moving Scott and Christina to Johnson City, TN. This will be a fun couple days away, but fun leaving them in TN. They will be greatly missed and I don't think Zoe has any idea what it will be like to not have Scott and Tina right around the corner:(
