What we've been up to

Saturday: BBQ at the macy's for the NFL draft. Lots of card playing for me! We were gone for 8 hours and Zoe did great the whole time! This is how we gpt there:)

Sunday: Slept in.. as mush as that happens with a newborn. Jerry and Sheila arrived about noon. We then went out to eat and spent the afternoon talking.

Monday: Finally got Zoe registered. Because Guatemalans take their mother and fathers name the system would not allow us to only give her one last name, so her official Guatemalan name is Zoe Xela Schnyders Schnyders. Once we get her a US passport, hopefully she will only have one last name. Monday afternoon I took Jerry and Sheila to the Xela mall and we got a few things for Zoe.
Tuesday: Jerry and Sheila went on an indigenous tour of the surrounding area. They saw a glass blowing factoring, local markets, mayan idols and volcanic baths, they had a fantastic time. Tuesday night we went out to eat.
Wednesday: We spent the whole day at school. In the morning we spent time in Tony's room and the Middle Shool showing off Zoe. The afternoon was "Family Day" at school. There were no classes in the afternoon, only games and food for all students and parents to enjoy. It was fun to introduce Zoe to ALL the parents and they coulnd't stop talking about how cute she was:) Wednesday night we went out with a bunch of our friends so they could better understand where Tony came from:)

Thursday: Tony and Jerry are spending the day at the Brodbeck's rubber farm. Jerry has been looking forward to this for a few months and I am sure they will come back with great stories and memories.
Tomorrow They are headed back to Guatemala City already as they fly out Saturday morning. We have had a busy but fun week.
I have come down with a very bad cold this week and with Zoe still having her days and night confused, I have not been feeling great. Thank goodness Grandma and Grandpa have let me take a few naps during the day while they get some Zoe time in:)
I am very excited and sad for next week. I am super pumped that Liz, my amazing friend who I have not seen in forever is coming for 5 days. It is going to be great. I am also excited that Tony has two interviews in the states next week. I am not happy that he is going to be gone from monday night to Saturday night. We will miss him greatly, but hopefully he will come back with a job and we will know where we are moving. The interviews are in Texas and Ohio! PLease pray for clarity and guidance as Tony goes through this process and that We would be in the place God desires us to be.
That is all for now, check out the new albums on Shutterfly.
