Well at least one of the last ones with just the two of us. The director from last year and his wife invited a bunch of teachers from school to his parents house on Lake Atitlan. We made an album on shutterfly so be sure to check them out. We left after school on Friday and we piled on a chicken bus for two hours. Danielle was less than thrilled with our choice of transportation, but it ended up being ok. There was a 8 year old girl that stared at Danielle for 15 minutes straight. I think that she blinked, but I am not sure it was awkward, then a little boy sat next to her and started to stare also. I figured maybe it was the thing to do so I stared at her also. She was not as amused when I started staring, but we had a good laugh. On Friday night we went to a resaurant and we had a nice meal. On Saturday we got up and had breakfast, and then took a trip down to the lake and sat on the dock. It was really relaxing and I got sunburned. After basking in the sun we went to Pana and walked around looking for purses for Daielle but we were unsuccessful. We returned to their beautiful house for dinner. We grilled a 5 pund pork loin on the grill and ate until we were silly. The next morning we woke up and took a walk around the community of homes around theirs. The houses were awesome and the views were amazing. We have a pretty big week of school coming up, so it was good to get away and relax.
