Staff Retreat

We had our first break from school since Christmas last friday and wow were we ready for that. We had our annual Staff retreat friday which means no school! We left friday morning and headed in two buses and a pickup(which I got to ride in!) to the water park. The water park is really nice and it was alot of fun. It was a little hard for me to watch everyone go on rides and not be able to participate, but the lazy river felt great. We left the water park mid afternoon and checked into the hotel only to continue sitting by the pool for a couple for more hours before meeting all the staff for devotions and supper. After supper Tony went mini-golfing with some of the guys and I of course played cards. I was surprisingly able to get a good night of sleep on a very hard bed. Saturday we enjoyed an amazing buffet breakfast, a few more hours at the pools and then were home by evening. It was a wonderful break from cold Xela and a very relaxing time. There is a new album of the weekend!
Not much going on this week, I do have the 7th grade baby shower after school friday, I am very excited about that. This is the group of mom's I know best and have a good time with.
Next weekend it looks like we will be heading to Tapachula Mexico to renew our passports. I am not looking forward to this travelng at all, but it is necessary and will be the last trip before Zoe. We are waiting until next weekend that way the 90 days we have gets us into the first week of June when we will be leaving.
The school day is getting more and more difficult for me, but I am planning on teaching through March 13th, that is the last day of the 3rd quarter. The week after that I may do half day and I will for sure be doing parent-teacher conferences that week. I am at a weird state of being ready to be done teaching, but also sad that my tim eat IAS is almost over. I am trying to make the most of every minutes, because I know I will miss the kids once I am gone.
Thats all for now.
