We have had three earthquakes this week, all had decent power. For us Minnesotans who have never felt an earthquake before moving here, we get pretty excited everytime we feel one. My students told me today that there is always a season of many earthquakes and apparently this is it.
I don't really have anything to say, I just felt like writing and keeping all you regular checkers happy.
This week was a full week with no interruptions, for the most part. This hasn't happened in a while, it is nice to finally get through some material. Although all teachers and kids look pretty tired and we still have one more day to go.
No plans for this weekend, lots of sleep and school work again. We may go to a soccer game, which hasn't happened in a while, but it will probably be raining, so we will see.
A slightly exciting thing happened tonight, it probably seems like nothing to you all, but we were happy. For the first time since being here I successfully order pizza on the phone. They ask so many questions and talk so fast, it is crazy, but I did it. It was here fast and we got exactly what we wanted, Yah for the improving Spanish!
At times, most of the time actually I feel like my Spanish is quite bad, but then I think of how much it has improved and what I can all do now, and I am fairly happy.
One sad note, my wonderful friend Liz, who was my maid of honor, is going through a tough time. She is again at home in Iowa because they are expecting her day to pass in the next few days. He was diagnosed with brain cancer over Christmas and things have rapidly gotten worse. Please pray for comfort and peace for her whole family.
Now that I have talked about many different things it is time to stop.
Feliz Cumpleanos Darci, tiene un gran dia!
Happy Birthday Darci!!!! have a great day
