Unity in Christ

I just wanted to share a great experience we had this morning. We were able to go to a English speaking church with a few people from school. The church was just in a little room right off the street. There were only about 30 people at the service and that is the norm. I was so touched by the people and welcoming spirit of the congregation. It was such a blessing to sing praise and worshipping in English with native Spanish speakers. To be in the house of the Lord with fellow believers that we have never meant and have very little in common with, yet feel the spirit and worship together reminded me of the unity all christian have in the name and blood of Christ! It was a refreshing and encouraging experience. A fellow teacher from school did the message and he talked about pressing on in the name of Christ based on Philippians 3. He encouraged us all to not get wrapped up in the things of this world but remember that our relationship with Christ is more important than anything and that is the thing that will get us through the great and tough times. Well, I just wanted to share that with all of you and hopefully the experience is encouraging to you as well.
Tomorrow we start our first full we of school. We are excited and ready, but I'm sure it will be tiring. Pray for strength and good decision making please!
love you all.

I read your blog first thing this morning and in doing so it brought tears to my eyes.Sometimes getting out of our "comfort zone" can bring about such neat and rewarding experiances. Sounds like "you are on fire" for the Lord. Love grandma v w
