So busy

Much has happened since the last blog, which is why it has been awhile and also our internet is not working. I am at a internet cafe right now so no new pictures this time sorry. Tony made my first Mothers Day wonderful. He let me sleep in until 9:00 whie he got up with Zoe, it was amazing. We then went out to one of my facorite places in Xela, they even gave me a rose:) We spent the afternoon relaxing at home, it was such a great day and Zoe was happy the whole day. I am loving being a mother and she is such a blessing.
Yesterday was the big trip to the Embassy to apply for a passport for Zoe. I had spent all day Monday at school getting all the correct paper work together that I was told we may need. Diane Brodbeck was nice enough to give us a ride there and back. Thank you Diane so much, your truck was a thousand times better than a bus! We arrived in guate at noon and our appointment was at 1 so we had a little time to get a bite to eat. Once in the embassy we had a couple more very detailed forms to fill out. We filled all those out and went back to the window and the lady asked if we had the pictures for her passport- oops we forgot about those. So we had to leave the embassy to go to a little photo shop. After mutiple tries of getting Zoe to look at the camera and get my hand out of the picture, we got one that would work. It is a pretty funny picture but it serves the purpose. Back into the ebassy we went. We handed over the pictures and then she handed us the bill... I was told it would be $65, but it turned out to be $150, which would not have been a problem but there credit card system was down. So we got all of Diane´s cash, all of ours and had 1,228 Quetzales, 5 more than we needed. Thank goodness Diane had some on her or we would have had to leave the Embassy again. So we paid, they kept all our paperwork and passports and said to wait until the counselor calls us. We waited about 20 minutes and then swore that everything we had written was the truth and were done 2 minutes later. We ended up not needing all the extra documents, I guess it was pretty obvious that Zoe´s is ours and not a Guatemalan that we picked up. It was a successful day and we will pick up her passport the day before we fly out, which is June 2.
Now for the really exciting news... Tony has a job!! This morning he was offered and accepted the RD posotion at Malone UNiversity in Canton Ohio. We are so excited to be moving there. I am working on a few applications in the area and will hopefully also have a job before we move out there in July!
As soon as our interent starts working again or I get to school there wil be many new pictures!
