Getting Close

Yesterday Zoe and I had our last doctor's appointments. We will start with the boring one...mine. Doctor said everything looks great, my incisions is healing perfecting and I have strong stomach muscles:) That made me very happy. What is not making me very happy is that I have amoebas. With out going into grose details, I have had issues for the last two weeks and was finally in enough pain I decided i better do something about it. I started the meds monday night and I am feeling much better. hopefully this will take care of it and I will be little bug free when We return to the states.
Zoe's is growing like a champ. She now weigh 10 lbs, 6 oz. She is 21.7 ins long and her head measured in at 15.5 inches. She had her last Hep. b shot and of course screamed like crazy, but was fine just a few minutes later. She is really starting to respond to us. I can usaully get her to smile when I talk to her close enough that she can see my face, it is soo fun!
Today was the last day of teaching for Tony. It was a pretty emotional day for both of us. I came for the big year book signing time, it was very difficult to say good-bye to some of the students, I will miss them. Tony's girls were all in tears when saying good-bye to Tony, it was adorable. Tomorrow we have a work day at school and then graduation practice. Friday we are planning on packing all day, which will be a ton of work and then friday evening is Graduation and saying good-bye to everyone:(
Saturday morning we are headed to Antigua with our friend Annie. She has a car and is driving us. We are spendind the weekend at the new golf course in Antigua that her Grandpa and Uncle designed! (http://www.antiguagolfresort.com/) She has pretty amazing connections and we are so excited to spend a very cheap weekend in luxury!!
Monday morning we are headed to Guatemala City to pick us Zoe's passport. We are spending Monday night in a hostel in Guatemala city and then flying out Tuesday noon!
I am sure the remaining time will be emotional as it is our home, but after a night like last night with no power for 5 hours and feeling very sick, we are excited for the states.
This may be the last post from Guatemala, which puts a tear in my eye. See most of you soon!
