It pays to have connections

We had a busy and fun weekend, only because of the people we have met down here. Firday night we had a birthday party of a 7th graders. He lives in a very nice neighborhood. We did alot of eating, playing soccer and dancing, it was quite funny to see teachers and students doing the macerena together. I do have a video, but would rather not put it on here, so you can just look at the picture instead.
Saturday night we went to a fleminco dance performance, there were many girls from school in it. It was held at the over 200 year old municipal theater in town, it is an amazing building and it was a great night. (video below)

Sunday we were invited to the beach with a few of my 6th grade families. On our way there we stopped at one of their farms and were able to ride horse for just a bit. We got to the beach around noon and left again at 3:00, but it was hot and it was wonderful. Again, there are many pictures.
On a more serious note, we have one prayer request that we would like to ask of all of you. The school is in the middle of recruiting for next year. Although we have decided to return next year, most teachers have not. There has also been only a few new application. It is a bit scary to know that we still have about 15 positions to fill before next year. Please pray that the right teachers would be found and that the school would be fully staffed next year. Also if you know of anyone that would be interested, please direct them our way!
As I am thinking about prayer requests, one more. I(Danielle) am still trying to find a job for the 2 months we are going to be home over the summer. Tony has already got a job lined up working concrete again, and we are very thankful for that. but I really also need for find something for the 2 months. Please pray that I can find something so make some $ to make next year possible for us:)
This weekend we have plans to hike the volcanoe Santa Maria (pictured right) This will be quite the challange I am sure, and honestly I am not sure I will make it, but I am going to try my best.
Thanks to all you faithful readers, we are so glad you can be a part of our expereince down here!

Awesome pictures. Everything looks so beautiful. And the video of the dance recital was really neat! You two are always in our prayers. Missing you...

p.s. and if we could teach, we would be down there in a heartbeat!
