Well, it is exactly four days until we will be in the states and we are anxious. We had a great weekend, Saturday was the staff Christmas Party at the Directors house. It was a really fun party, far too much food and the revealing of our secret Santa's all week. Tony thought he had his figured out, but people were playing with him, so we all got a good laugh out of that. we stayed until late afternoon talking and playing cards. We were planning on taking a chicken bus to ride back to Xela. I think I have explained these before but Chicken buses are crazily painted school buses that they smash way to many people on, but that is how we get every where. Anyway, we were waiting for one of these, hoping we were not to late to catch one, and this vegetable truck it stopped close by, he waves us over and says we can ride in the back for only 5 Quetzals a person (less than a dollar), so we go for it. It was crazy, a fully covered truck with 10 gringos in the back, not seeing anything and totally uncomfortable, but he brought us right to where he said he would, and only a few of us were feeling sick at the end of the ride:) Yes, this may have not been the safest or wisest choice, but we were all up for an adventure and it turned out fine, so stop worrying everyone, because I know you are right now:) Only in Guatemala can you ride in the back of a huge, not totally safe truck with no worry of any legal ramification.
Today we were at home all day cleaning and trying to pack and get organized for the trip home. We have many gifts, but can not wrap any of them because customs will look in all of them anyway, so that is frustrating.
This week we have full days on Monday and Tuesday, but we will not be teaching. the students will be taking finals, but we do not have to proctor them, so we just correct final and plan for next semester. Wednesday the students only have 1 final and once we have all our grades and lesson plans in we can leave. We are hoping to catch an early afternoon bus to Guatemala City, spend the night there and then fly out Thursday. We have a few hour lay over in Atlanta and we are suppose to land in Minneapolis at about 11:30 Thursday night, it will be along day, but worth it!
Pray for safe travel and no luggage issues, as that happens quite often here.
Hope you all have a great week and we will see some of you before it is over!!!!!!
PS; just put a new album up of Christmas stuff:)

Hey guys!!!!
I am soooo excited to see you guys. It will be here before we know it. I can't wait to hear all of your stories, and have us all together again. It will be a blast I am sure. EJ has lots of new tricks to show off. Walking, talking non stop and a mouth full of teeth. He is quite a bit of fun now!
Well, better get back to work, or get started. I just wanted to take a second to say hi!
Best luck with your travels home. See you in 10 days!!!
Lots of love,
