So it has been raining for the last 50 hours continuously, and we are sick of it. Apparently there is a tropical depression that has stalled over us and we are soaked. All the public schools in Xela were closed today because of the rain, but we still had it. The electricity has gone out for a few hours that last two days, just adding to the fun of teaching. Our transportation cost have also gone up as we have gotten a taxi to school the last few days, in attempts of staying a little dry and warm. I have always liked rain, but that feeling is quickly changing.
Not much up for this weekend, probably alot of sitting inside, keeping warm and dry. Tomorrow morning one of my students is making his first communion, so we are going to that and then the party afterwards at the country club in town. We have never been there, but we are told it is nice, so that should be a fun time.
We will share the exciting news of the raining stopping when that does finally happen:)
